A Site Built for Everyone

Kritt Real Estate is committed to making this website usable for everyone, including people who rely on assistive technologies. Here’s what we’ve done, what’s still in progress, and how to reach me if you hit a barrier.

Our Commitment

This site is designed and maintained to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. We treat accessibility as part of the build, not an afterthought, and we test against these standards as we add new pages and content.

What We’ve Done

  • Semantic HTML, proper heading hierarchy, and ARIA landmarks throughout

  • Color contrast meets or exceeds WCAG AA on all text and interactive elements

  • Full keyboard navigation with visible focus indicators on every interactive element

  • Alt text on meaningful images; decorative images marked so screen readers skip them

  • Respects the prefers-reduced-motion setting for users sensitive to animation

  • Live-region announcements for dynamic content, descriptive link text, and accessible form labels

  • Touch targets sized for users with motor impairments on mobile devices

Known Limitations

A few areas of the site rely on third-party services we don’t fully control. We’ve chosen vendors with reasonable accessibility practices, but their experiences are subject to change:

  • YouTube embeds for neighborhood tours. Captions are enabled where available; some older videos may have auto-generated captions only.

  • Jotform contact form. Jotform supports keyboard navigation and screen readers, but the embedded experience is governed by their platform.

  • Google Reviews widget for client testimonials. Reviews are also restated in plain text on the page so the content is reachable without the widget.

PDFs linked from the footer (Information About Brokerage Services, Consumer Protection Notice) are required by the Texas Real Estate Commission. If you need either document in an alternative format, contact me and I’ll send it directly.
